I’m a genuine American! Like Eleanor!
You are 68% American!
You have 136 proof blood
You’re a genuine American, citizen or not. Americanosity runs in your blood. You’re an asset to the U.S.A as much as anyone can be expected and while you may not go out of your way to push the nation forward, you do what you can to make it all run smoothly. You root for America in the Olympics, try to stay on the right side of the law, and can name at least eight past US presidents. Keep America proud, tough guy.Other genuine Americans include: Betsy Ross, Johnny Appleseed, Irving Berlin, Eleanor Roosevelt, Humphrey Bogart, and Oprah Winfrey.

Therapeutic arts and crafts
Some of the postcards on this site are the most revealing, intimate moments out of anybody’s life. I was feeling really down on my life today (at 1:20 a.m.) because the day has gone extremely long, and I still have more work to do. I now realize that this is just momentary discomfort in comparison to others’ lives.
For instance:
“I work at a teen crisis center. Everyday, I work with gang members, trying to show them all the potential that life holds for them. I counsel broken-hearted teens telling them that ‘time will heal’ them. I work with HIV-positive teens, trying to make the most of the time that they have here on earth. I talk to suicidal youths about how precious life is and how much their life is worth. And yet…I wake up everyday and wish that I didn’t have to wake up ever again. I like to help others because I feel like no one can help ME.

Looking through the different postcards really made me begin to think about my life. There’s a potential that if you view it, you might think of a few things that are pertinent to your life, as well.

Was it Donner or Blitzen? Or Rudolph?
The article says enough for itself. All I want to know is, which poor reindeer had to suffer the shock?

Call me a fatalist, but I’m starting to think that the end of the world is upon us.

Top Ten Luxuries
These are things I’ve been spending my wages on this summer, that I could easily do without, had I not started buying them on a regular basis. I really have become a Starbucks’ junkie. Can’t go a Ship Day without their mocha.
1. Starbucks’ Mint Mocha Chip Frappucinos
2. Starbucks’ Mochas
3. Gap clothing
4. 10-buck movies
5. Dental hygeine products (especially Whitening Listerine)
6. Buying full-priced CDs (rather than full-priced digital albums)
7. Used books on writing
8. Skin hygeine products (namely Olay facial soap and bath puffs on a stick)
9. New name-brand shoes (Adidas and New Balance)
10. Coke Zero

Huh? - or - DMB Goodness
So, today (Tuesday) marks the release of new albums (something that happens every Tuesday), including Dave Matthews Band’s new album
“Stand Up” which includes the single
“American Baby.” On iTunes, Apple is also including (as they did with U2’s catalog) a digital booklet, and savable video single.
Interestingly enough, Apple chose today to release their updated iTunes 4.8 and I have no clue what the difference is between this version and the one I currently own, other than I can download Video Singles, some new kind of promo the labels are running.
Speaking of no clue, a couple of you have commented saying that you can’t follow the progression of my blog. Try this: it’s chronological, and generally follows whatever whim I feel like pushing. Also, since I like money, I’m trying to earn a commission off your iTunes purchases, but be sneaky about it. Be nice to me: click and buy. Hell even me, the music thief, buys music online if I want to support the artist without paying exorbitant fees. I do think I’m gonna end up buying DMB’s CD in stores though; it’s on DualDisc! Wheeeee!

Bed? or pictures of doggies?
Damn, I need to go to bed, but browsing through my new collection of RSS Feeds, I discovered an Iditarod photoessay from TIME Magazine. Alaska? In TIME? Wow… I still love it!
